Biography
Jennifer Vaz, MD received her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia before completing a residency in gynecology and obstetrics at Inova Fairfax Hospital. She completed a gynecologic oncology fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia.
Following her medical training, Dr. Vaz served as both a gynecologic oncologist and assistant professor of obstetrics and gynecology at George Washington University. Dr. Vaz treats patients with gynecologic cancers including: ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar/vaginal, and gestational trophoblastic disease as well as complex benign gynecological conditions.
Her research has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including Gynecologic Oncology and the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr. Vaz is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, the American Medical Association, and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr Vaz is also recognized by her colleagues in Washingtonian Magazine of Top Doctors.
